Looking for a fresh angle on her new book on relationships, Merry heads to snow covered Vermont. She finds a new perspective and Christmas cheer with charismatic aid worker Adam.
Synopsis
Adventurous hunk Adam Walters suddenly returns to his sister Darlene's apartment in native Snow Bridge, Vermont after another charitable building tour in Guatemala, where his presumed soulmate Julie dumped him. He finds there an ex from ten years ago: Darlene's buddy, relationship 'expert' blogger Merry Griffin, who has been found out by her editor: Dale Westfield, the perfect lover she based her most promising love rules manuscript on, which is hoped to save the truthful books firm from bankruptcy, was never even in love with her, so she's ordered to come up with a truth-based alternative story over the Christmas holiday. Darlene searches for another Mister Right, but Darlene's ex, New York restaurateur James Smith, doesn't fit. Cupid matches her again with Adam, who expected to take over his parents' third generation Gift Shop and Tree Lot now they're retiring, but finds they sold it, ignoring Adam was interested, being overseas for years.
