Synopsis
Dr. Hillary Spenser has everything going for her. She's a well respected physician, she's recently gotten engaged, and she's gotten great friends & family. However, fate is about to deal her a cruel hand. A couple comes in with carbon monoxide poisoning, and she's only able to save one. This couple supposedly just got engaged, but the "future groom," Gregory, seems not to care that his fiancé is dead. To make matters worse, he soon becomes fixated on his angel of mercy. Dr. Spenser tries to explain that sometimes patients can develop feelings for their doctors, especially if a doctor saves their life. But none of her arguments work. He imagines a romantic relationship where none exists. Nothing she tries seems to dissuade him, Gregory sees Hillary's fiancé, John, as the problem. He sets out to destroy him, starting by ruining his career. Gregory hatches a plan that allows him to hack John's computer, and wrecks havoc on his life. Gregory also targets Hillary's mother. Soon, no part of a Hillary's life is left untainted by Gregory's infatuation . Dr. Spenser tries to get Gregory some help. She refers him to her best friend, Dr. Lori Hansen, a psychiatrist. He goes, because he knows Dr. Hansen and Dr. Spencer are friends, and he thinks he can learn more personal information about Hillary from Lori. He's convinced his machinations can fool her, but his manipulation doesn't work. Dr. Hansen sees right through him, and is more than a little concerned. But before she can warn her friend, Dr. Spenser, she has a terrible accident. Will she survive, and be able to alert her friend about the psychotic in their midst? Gregory's reign of terror continues to escalate until the final showdown.
